Did you noticed that tall structures have a red light on top at night?
It is to avoid collision from aeroplane and helicopter. By installing the red light, pilot gets notification that there is some tall object in their flight zone. This product is called Aviation Obstruction Light (AOL) or Aircraft Warning Light (ACWL).
Aviation authorities specified Red and White lights are to be used to warn aircraft of tall structures. The Low Intensity Obstruction Light is the most common type. Flashing Medium Intensity Beacon (Day & Night options available) are typically for taller structures.
Is your Aircraft Warning Light still operational and sufficiently bright according to the Civil Aviation Authority standard?
Aircraft Warning Light (ACWL) System
In Singapore and many urban cities around the region, our airport is located near to the city where tall buildings and infrastructures are present. Other than the commercial planes, there are also smaller aircraft flying within the city around the clock. Therefore, it is important that tall infrastructures like buildings, bridges and towers is marked with the suitable Aviation Obstruction Light (AOL) to provide visual aid to the pilots.
The products and systems which we offer are designed to meet the most stringent aviation standards and is certified to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards: FAA AC 150/5345 - 43H, as well as compliant to ICAO Annex 14 and Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore MOAS 2020 (Manual Of Aerodrome Standards) for dependability and performance you can trust, and the patented precision optics ensure maximum safety for aviation whilst ensuring minimal light scatter to the ground for community-friendly signalling. In addition, the LED Obstruction Light are engineered for extended lifespan. Find our more from our technical sales team.
Residential & Commercial Buildings
Our cities consist of tall buildings and skyscrapers. When the city goes to sleep, these tall structures will still be visible to pilots with the installation of Aviation Obstruction Light (AOL) or Aircraft Warning Light (ACWL).
Industrial & Manufacturing Facilities
These towers can reach a few hundred meters high. Pilots will be able to see them clearly at night with the installation of Aviation Obstruction Light (AOL) or Aircraft Warning Light (ACWL).
Telecommunication & Broadcast Towers
Towers exceeding the height of 45 meters are built all around every country, some a few hundred meters high. Our Aviation Obstruction Light (AOL) or Aircraft Warning Light (ACWL) solution is well suited to provide warning to pilots on the presence of the towers.
Obstruction Light
Low Intensity Single / Dual, Medium Intensity Day/Night Aviation Obstruction Light (AOL) certified to FAA AC 150/5345-43H L-810 L-864
ICAO Annex 14 and CAAS MOAS 2020 Compliant
Community Friendly
Our AOL or ACWL is designed to provide warning to aerial aircraft. With precision optical design, the lights generated will not be scattered to the ground.
